Now Chat Using Any Smiley, Emoticon, Icon You Want on Facebook

There are many softwares, applications and plugins which you can install to send cool emoticons and smileys to others on facebook chat. But some of you don't know that the friend you are sending this emoticons to also need to have the same application installed on their computer. If not they will only see different codes, not the emoticon you sent.

To solve this issue, Facebook has recently given the users a new feature where you can create your own emoticon. Simply, now you can send any emoticon you want and the friends you send them to can see them as emoticons as well, not as codes. These emoticons use tiny sized thumbnails of facebook pages or profiles.

Here's how you do it. First, search for a page or profile which has the perfect thumbnail to be used as an emoticon. Copy the username or the facebook ID of that page/profile from their link and paste it between 2 opening square brackets and 2 closing square brackets. Here are some examples.

Example 1
 

If it's a page or profile with a username,

Link: http://www.facebook.com/facebook

Code you need to type: [[facebook]]

Example 2

If it's a profile without a username,

Link: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001127458874

Code you need to type: [[100001127458874]]


Example 3

If it's a page without a username,

Link: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Example/107703955970072

Code you need to type: [[107703955970072]]
